Bulford 546506 Bulford Blandford Shipping Co. Ltd., London (Fred Olsen managers) An art card produced by the ship builders Sasebo Heavy Industries, featuring the tanker Bulford on 1968. She became the Casterbridge in 1972, Amathus in 1979 and was broken up in 1981 after only 13 years. The card commemorates her christening with art by M. Kikkawa. Very light corner wear with a light surface bend to the top right corner tip. Clean to the front with a little very light surface marking. Very light marking to the reverse. Size approx 5.6" x 3.6". Bulford 329195 Bulford Blandford Shipping Co. Ltd., London (Fred Olsen managers) A photo postcard by Fuji, featuring the large tanker Bulford. She was one of a series of tankers built for the company in the late 1960s with unusual designed bridge superstructures. She was built in 1968, became the Casterbridge in 1972 and broken up in 1981. In clean condition to the front with very light corner wear except for a tiny dink to the top right corner tip. Very light surface impression line down the left edge. Burdigala 1190583 Burdigala Cie De Navigation Sud-Atlantique A printed postcard by Ch. Chambon of Bordeaux, featuring the Burdigala at Bordeaux. She was built in 1898 as the Kaiser Friedrich for Norddeutscher Lloyd, but never sailed for them as she failed builders trials. She was laid up at Hamburg until 1912 when she became the Burdigala for Cie Sud-Atlantique. She was sunk in 1916 by mine. Card was postally used in 1912 at Bordeaux. Album corner marks / impressions, mainly top left, with a tiny dink to the top left corner tip. Otherwise extremely light corner wear. A couple of light marks and a couple of very light foxing dots to the front. Extremely light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG) £3.49
