Aquileja / Genova 1237303 Aquileja / Genova Marittima Italiana A sepia printed postcard featuring the Aquileja / Genova from the Genova to Bombay service. The Aquileja (or Aquileia) was built in 1915 as the Lloyd Austriaco vessel Innsbruck. She served Marittima Italiana from 1924 to 1931. The Genova was also built in 1915 for Lloyd Austriaco as the Hungaria. She served Marittima Italiana from 1924 to 1931. Minimal corner and edge wear and minimal marking to the front. Asahi Maru 1233412 Asahi Maru Kinkai Yusen KK, Tokyo A set of five company printed postcards in an original envelope featuring the Asahi Maru. She was built in 1915 as the Italian liner Dante Alighieri of Transatlantica Italiana. She was purchased by Kinkai Yusen in 1928. She served the company until 1939 when she passed to NYK. Card is postally used in 1911 at Hull. Sadly, not in the best of condition. Some corner and edge wear with a crease across the top left corner and a small crease on the bottom left corner tip. Citta di Trieste 1237307 Citta di Trieste Sicilia Societa Di Navigazione A company printed art postcard featuring the Citta di Trieste. She was built in 1915 for the company. In 1923 she passed to Soc di Nav Italia. She was bombed at Civitavecchia in 1943 and later broken up. Very light corner and edge wear but slightly rough edge to the top and serrated edge to the bottom (I think the card may have been sold as part of a booklet or similar). Minimal marking to the front. She was built in 1903 and ran aground on Chesil Beach on 14th/15th February 1914. She was subsequently salvaged, repaired and became the Ignis in 1915, but sadly mined in the same year.
