Postally used in January 1906. Some corner rounding and edge wear with a couple of edge chips on the bottom edge, left. Some surface crinkling at the bottom left corner. Augusta Victoria 6002227 Augusta Victoria Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) An early undivided back printed postcard featuring the Augusta Victoria in her pre 1897 refit where one of the three masts was removed and she was renamed Auguste Victoria. However the card was used after that refit in 1902 from Hamburg to Sweden. Light corner and edge wear and a little postal ink marking to the front top centre. Light marking / ageing to the reverse and light surface indentations / marks top left from previously pencilled annotation. (VG-) £9.99
Augusta Victoria 1026202 Augusta Victoria Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) A very early undivided back art postcard featuring the Augusta Victoria. She was built in 1889 as the Augusta Victoria becoming the Auguste Victoria in 1897. She was sold to Russia in 1904. Although the card is a pre 1897 card from the name of the vessel it was postally used in 1899 at Oldenburg. A little light corner and edge wear. A tiny knock to the top right corner tip. Album corner marks / indentations. Light impression from postal cancellation centre right and a lighter impression top left from another postal cancel. Otherwise very light marking to the front. Postally used in 1897 at Gibraltar by a passenger who complains of a rough voyage and six days of rolling. In nice clean condition to the front with very light corner and edge wear and a little extremely light crinkling to the bottm right corner tip. Sadly one of the two Gibraltar stamps has been removed with a little surface loss to the card where the stamp was affixed. Otherwise clean to the reverse. (VG-) SOLD!

A little corner rounding and edge wear and a small edge tear on the left edge a third of the way down. A couple of light creases on the top left corner. Light surface indentation line down the card from top left to bottom right. Imprint from postal cancellation bottom right. The pencilled message to the front has either been partially erased or faded. Some marking / ageing to the front. Age toning and some foxing type marking to the reverse with some other marking. Bermuda 6543562 Bermuda Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) A matt finish sepia toned photo postcard showing the Hamburg Amerika line vessel Bermuda in Hamburg harbour. She was built in 1899 as the Saint Andrew and served Hamburg Amerika as the Bermuda from 1911 to 1922. The tug passing her is the Schulau of 1913 owned by J.H.N. Heymann and has been preserved as the Claus D. A little light corner and edge wear with a little light marking on the edges of the card. A couple of very light foxing type spots in the sky area. Otherwise very light marking / ageing to the front. The reverse is printed upside down and has light marking / ageing with a few foxing marks. (VG) SOLD!

Bulgaria 600208 Bulgaria Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) An early, undivided back, sepia printed postcard by Max Marcus of Berlin printed to celebrate the return of the Bulgaria to Germany in April 1899. The Bulgaria encountered a hurricane in the Atlantic in 1899 and was presumed lost. She turned up in the Azores several weeks later and Captain Schmidt was hailed a hero on her return to Germany. Card features views of the Kaiser's visit to the ship and Kapitan Schmidt on the bridge of the vessel. Advert for Mellins food to the bottom edge. A little corner and edge wear and light album corner marks. A little light marking / surface marking to the front. The reverse is printed upside down, with a small collector's cachet top right.
