SMS Ayesha 1270801 SMS Ayesha Naval A German patriotic postcard featuring SMS Ayesha's crew landing at Hodeida on 4th February 1915 with a vignette of her Kapitanleutnant Mucke. Part of the crew of the cruiser SMS Emden captured the sailing ship Ayesha and escaped in her when the Emden was destroyed by HMAS Sydney in 1914. They landed in Hodeida and then made their way by land to Constantinople. Card is by N.P.G. Extremely light corner wear. Very light album corner impressions.
