She was built in 1896 as the Albertville for Cie Belge Maritime du Congo, becoming the Jebba in 1898. She was wrecked on 18th March 1907. Card is postally used in Plymouth during July 1907. The vessels named on the card are Josephine Charlotte, Astrida, Henri Jaspar, Emile Francqui and Jean Jadot. They were all built in 1929 and the Josephine Charlotte was mined in 1940. So the card dates from 1929 to 1940. Minimal corner wear. Extremely light marking to the front, except for an extremely light foxing mark near the top right corner. Kongo Maru 1302105 Kongo Maru Kokusai Line, Japan A sepia toned photo postcard featuring the Kongo Maru of 1935. In August 1941 she became an auxiliary cruiser for the Japanese Navy. Lugano 1316701 Lugano Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) A sepia toned real photo postcard featuring the Hamburg Amerika vessel Lugano on fire off Hastings on 26th April 1906. The Lugano was subsequently salvaged and re-entered service as the British flagged Boliviana. Card is from the J.O. Forster Series, Hastings. Postally used in Bexhill on 28th April 1906 - only two days after the incident!! A little corner and edge wear with a small crease on the bottom left corner tip and a very light surface crinkle on the top left corner tip. A light surface bend / crinkle top right. Mino, Moulmein 1303102 Mino, Moulmein Kelsall Bros. & Beeching (Gamecock Fleet), Hull A printed photo postcard showing the trawlers Mino and Moulmein which were damaged during the Dogger Bank Incident on 22nd October 1904, when the Russian fleet mistakenly opened fire on a number of Hull trawlers in the North Sea. The card is by Scott Russell & Co, Birmingham. Postally used in 1905. Light corner and edge wear and album corner marks / impressions.
