Arnold 1226525 Arnold Angfartygs A/B Arnold, Gothenburg A sepia toned early photo postcard featuring the Arnold at Bristol with the suspension bridge in the background. She was built in 1881 as the Capri for R.M. Sloman of Hamburg. In 1897 she became the Tyri and then in 1899 the Arnold for Angfartygs A/B Arnold. Her owner changed to Angfartygs A/B Adolf / Adolf Bratt in 1912. She was wrecked in 1925. Very light corner and edge wear. Light album corner marks / impressions. Assaye 1229402 Assaye P&O An early, undivided back, company litho printed postcard probably by Andrew Reid of Newcastle (though not marked as such), featuring the Assaye of 1899. Light corner and edge wear with a light bend / surface crinkle to the top right corner. Some foxing spotting and age toning to the front with a few other light marks. Small inked annotation and some foxing spotting to the reverse. Also an area where the surface is missing from the centre of the left edge up to the top edge, left and also in the bottom left corner (looks like something has been stuck to it). (VG-/G-) £6.99
Astoria 1229101 Astoria Anchor Line (Henderson Bros), Glasgow An early photo postcard by W.R. featuring the early steamship Astoria. She was built in 1885 as the Tainui for Shaw Savill & Albion. She was sold to Anchor Line in 1899 to become the Astoria. She was broken up in 1910. A little light corner and edge wear with a tiny dink to the top right corner tip. Clean to the front.
