I have not been able to identify which "Argo" this is - there were many ships with the same name about at the time of the postcard. Postally used in Bristol in 1905 - the sender of the card appears to have had no luck in finding out about the Argo either!! Light corner and edge wear with age toning, foxing and light indentation marks at the corners from album corner mounts. Cumberland Queen 1147527 Cumberland Queen Unknown A photo postcard by Cooper of Liverpool, featuring the Cumberland Queen. She was built in America in 1919 on the Diligent River, Canada, by C. Robinson. In 1921 she sank, but the wreck raised by itself and was refurbished for further trading! Very light corner and edge wear. A couple of foxing spots on the top edge, left and top left, otherwise extremely light marking to the front. Very light marking / ageing to the reverse with a couple of foxing spots. (VG) £5.99
Everene 1190567 Everene Unknown A photo postcard featuring the cargo ship Evrene. The only ship I can find with this name is the one built in 1904 and which served as the Everene from 1926 to 1935 for the Riga Steamship Co / F. Grauds, Riga. However this ship seems to be wearing Deutsche Ost-Afrika Linie (DOAL) funnel colours. Extremely light corner wear and clean to the front except for and "X" impression mark in the top left and bottom right corner tips (maybe to do with album mounting?). Ship name inked to the reverse with a collector's(?) cachet near the stamp box. Otherwise very light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG) £4.49

Nab Light Tower 796701 Nab Light Tower Unknown An unusual sepia art card with art by Montague B. Black showing the towing out of the Nab Light Tower from Shoreham in 1920. Published by Green & Co of Hayling Island. The tower was built during World War 1 as a defensive tower designed by Guy Maunsell to be placed in the English Channel. This never came to fruition and the completed tower was towed in 1920 to the Nab Rocks at the entrance to the Solent and placed there as a navigational tower where it remains to this day. She was built in 1912 as La Rosarina for Furness Houlder and sold to Japan in 1937 to become the Rosarina. She didn't last with her new owners for long as she was broken up in Osaka in January 1938. Rydal Hall / Rydall Hall? 946119 Rydal Hall / Rydall Hall? Unknown A photo postcard by Gibson of the Scilly Isles, featuring the wreck of the Rydall Hall under tow by a tug. The only sailing ship I could find was the Rydal Hall which was built in 1874 and wrecked in 1876 off the coast of California. So whether this is a very early photo of that vessel re-produced on this postcard or a different ship I have no idea! Postally used in 1959. Clean to the front with minimal corner wear. Card is by Rosenblatt of Frankfurt. Extremely light corner wear and light age toning at the corners from album corner mounts. Otherwise very light marking to the front.
