SMS Stosch(?) 1190557 SMS Stosch(?) An early colour printed postcard featuring a German Battleship in Cork Harbour. It is a Bismarck class corvette and I think this is the SMS Stosch (name partly visible on the stern). She served from 1878 to 1907. Card is by Shureys Publications, being given away with one of their early magazines. Card is printed by Delittle, Fenwick of York for Shurey's Publications. A little corner and edge wear, but sadly some surface missing on the right edge, centre. Otherwise some foxing spotting to the front. SMS U-118 1219701 SMS U-118 A sepia toned photo postcard featuring the German submarine SMS U-118 ashore at Hastings. She was launched in 1918 and surrendered on 23rd February 1919. She was being towed to France when the tow rope broke and she washed ashore at Hastings on 15th April 1919. She was later broken up. Very light corner wear and light album corner marks / impressions. SMS U9 / SMS U29 995506 SMS U9 / SMS U29 A sepia printed patriotic postcard featuring the "Exploits of Kapitanleutnant Weddigen". He was the commander of U9 which sank HMS Hogue, HMS Aboukir and HMS Cressy in September 1914 and also celebrating his success as commander of U29 for a short while in 1915 before she was sunk by HMS Dreadnought.
