Postally used in 1903(?) with a Paquebot cancellation on board the Arcadian at Aden. Very light marking and a few foxing spots to the front. Very light corner and edge wear and a very light surface bend near the top right corner with associated tiny crinkle on the reverse only. A very early undivided back litho printed postcard by Andrew Reid of Newcastle featuring an un-named company steamer and advertising their service to South America. Postally used in London in 1906 by an arriving passenger. Some corner and edge wear and some surface marking. A small crinkle to the top left corner tip. The reverse is a little grubby with light ageing. (VG-) SOLD!
Vectis 169001 Vectis P&O A lovely Andrew Reid lithograph postcard of the P&O cruising yahct Vectis. Postaly used in 1905 at Piraeus by a passenger. In nice clean condition, with ligth foxing which is the norm for these cards. A little postal ink to left front. (VG) SOLD!
Vectis 1121301 Vectis P&O A litho printed postcard by Andrew Reid of Newcastle, featuring the cruising yacht Vectis. She was built in 1881 as the Rome for P&O. In 1904 she was converted to the cruising yacht Vectis and stayed with the company until broken up in 1913. Extremely light corner and edge wear. A little extremely light marking to the front of the card. A few small brown line marks near the left edge. Light marking / age toning to the reverse with a little light foxing spotting down the right edge. (VG) SOLD!
