Montebello 1105202 Montebello A company colour printed art postcard featuring the Montebello. I believe this card depicts the vessel built in 1890 and sold in 1910 rather than the one built in 1911 and lost in 1918. The card is by William Strain & Sons, Belfast. Very light corner and edge wear and extremely light marking to the front with a tiny spot near the top of the foremast. The printing of the card is a little light on the right edge, but I have seen other copies of this card with a similar issue, so I think it's a printing issue rather than fading. Very light marking to the reverse. (VG) SOLD!
Montebello 1105204 Montebello A sepia toned photo postcard by Barnard of Hull, featuring the Montebello. I believe this card depicts the vessel built in 1890 and sold in 1910 rather than the one built in 1911 and lost in 1918. In nice clean condition to the front with a little corner and edge wear. Montebello 1105203 Montebello A company colour printed art postcard featuring the Montebello. I believe this card depicts the vessel built in 1890 and sold in 1910 rather than the one built in 1911 and lost in 1918. The card is by William Strain & Sons, Belfast. Very light corner wear. Extremely light marking to the front. This card suffers a little from the printing of the card being a little light, mainly on the right side of the card, which I think is a printing issue rather than fading. The lightness seems to be in the sea and sky only with the ship itself in nice bright colours. Maybe the grey / blue ink used for the sky / sea was running low! Very light marking with a couple of small marks in the address area top centre, to the reverse. (VG) SOLD!
