Hartburn |
An early photo postcard, printed in Russia(?), featuring a nice detailed view of the Hartburn. She was built in 1900 and stayed with the company until 1915 when she passed to Richards Turpin & Co, Swansea. She was mined in 1917. Card was postally used in 1907 at Solombala, Archangel, Russia, in 1907, by someone on board the vessel(?). Sadly the postage stamp has been removed. A little corner and edge wear with knocks to the bottom two corner tips and very light surface crinkles to the top two corner tips. Impression from postal cancellations top left. A couple of light surface bends top right and centre right. A little light marking to the front. Damage to the reverse where the postage stamp has been removed, otherwise a little marking / ageing.
