An early, company sepia printed postcard featuring the paddle steamer Cuxhaven. She was built in 1887 as the Halcyon for General Steam Nav of London, becoming the Cuxhaven in 1907 until 1912. the card is postally used in Gluckstadt in 1907 with a small ships cachet to the reverse top centre. A little corner and edge wear and imprint from postal cancellation top left. A little postal ink marking top centre and top left. Light marking to the front and some light foxing spotting surface marking. Age tanning, light marking and some foxing marking to the reverse. (VG-)
A sepia printed postcard featuring the paddle steamer Cuxhaven (1907-1912). Postcard is postally used as a Schiffspost card with a Kais. Deutsche Marine Schiffspost cancellation and dated 1918 (several years after the period that the paddle steamer was operating!). Light marking to the front (note that the black marks in the bottom two corners are part of the printing and not marks on the card). Very light corner wear. Light marking / ageing to the reverse.
