Cobra 6002327 Cobra An early, undivided back, printed postcard by Gebr. Israel, Hamburg, featuring the paddle steamer Cobra. She was built as the St Tudno in 1889 and served for Nordsee Linie from 1897 to 1905 when she passed to Hamburg Amerika. Light corner and edge wear and light album corner indentations. Some age tanning and very light foxing type marking to the front, mainly near the right edge. A few very light surface undulations. Light marking and a few light foxing type marks near the left edge of the card. (VG-) £5.99
Cobra 6002166 Cobra A very early company art card featuring the paddle steamer Cobra. Art is by Hans Bohrdt. Postally used in 1898 in Westerland with a lovely ship's cachet dated 16th Sept 1898. Light corner and edge wear. Indentation from postal cancellations top right and bottom left. Light surface crinkle / crease from the paddle wheel down to the bottom left corner. She served Nordsee Linie from 1897 to 1905, having previously been owned by Albert Ballin. A little corner rounding and edge wear. A light crease across the bottom right corner. A little marking to the front with light ageing marks, mainly at the corners. Impression from postal cancellation top left. A little marking / ageing to the reverse with a few light foxing marks. Art is by Hans Bohrdt. Lovely ship's cachet to the reverse dated 1898. Very light corner and edge wear with a tiny dink to the top left corner tip. Extremely light marking to the front. Very light corner and edge wear with a very light surface bend to the bottom left corner tip with tiny surface crinkle on the reverse only. Light album corner impressions. Very light surface impressions to the front from the three postal cancellations and the writing to the reverse. Pencilled message to the front, otherwise very light marking / ageing to the front.
