1238301 | Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, Minas Gerais | A real photo postcard by A.E.C. featuring three Brazilian warships under construction at the shipyard of Armstrong, Whitworth & Co, Elswick, Newcastle on Tyne. The vessel nearest the camera on the outside is the Rio Grande Do Sul, launched in April 1909 and completed in 1910. Inboard of her is her sistership the cruise Bahia, launched in January 1909 and completed in 1910. Furthest from the camera on the left of the photo is the battleship Minas Gerais, launched in September 1908 and completed in January 1910. Light corner and edge wear with a small surface crinkle on the top right corner and an area on the bottom edge near the bottom right corner where the surface of the card has come away.
