An early, litho printed postcard featuring a view of the Maori King in the Dry Docks at Durban. She was built in 1890 as the Maori King for W.Ross & Co, passing to the Federal Steam Nav Co in 1895. She stayed with them until 1904 when she went to French owners as the Esperance. She reverted to the name Maori King in 1906 for James M. Dow of Shanghai and was wrecked in 1909. Card is by P.S. & C. of Cape Town. Card is postally used in Durban in March 1906.
