A sepia toned photo postcard featuring a fine view of the hospital ship St. Andrew. She was built in 1908 and served as a hospital ship from August 1914 until May 1919. Card is written and addressed, but not postally used. Very slightly smaller than standard size but I don't think it's been trimmed down. Extremely light corner and edge wear. A very light surface impression line top left. Extremely light marking to the front. Very light marking / ageing to the reverse. Size approx 5.2" x 3.4". (VG) |

A company printed art postcard featuring the St. Patrick of 1906. She was broken up at Preston in 1929 following a fire. Card is postally used in 1930 by a passenger travelling from Rosslare to Fishguard. Very light corner and edge wear with light album corner marks / impressions. Sadly a light crease from the centre of the right edge into the centre of the card as far as the first funnel of the ship. Otherwise light marking to the front with a few very light surface foxing type marks. Very light marking / ageing to the reverse. (G) |
