An early printed postcard featuring the Pera. She was built in 1888 and served as the Pera from 1898 to 1914. The card carries printed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greetings from Chr. Jensen the 3rd Officer on the vessel and was postally used in December 1907. Sadly the postage stamp has been removed. Some corner and edge wear, particularly top right with some surface chipping. Some surface marking, staining near the bow of the vessel and underneath it. Several light surface bends, undulations. Otherwise as little light marking to the front. The reverse has the marks from the postage stamp removal and other light marks / ageing. Size approx 5.3" x 3.75". (G) |
