A scarce and early, litho printed, advertising art postcard featuring one of the four steamers built for B&I Line in the 1880's and 1890's. They were named Lady Martin, Lady Hudson-Kinahan, Lady Wolseley and Lady Roberts. Annotation to the front showing this one was used on board the Lady Martin in 1905. Advert for the Dublin to London service to the rear. A couple of tiny surface crinkles near the top left corner, otherwise a little corner and edge wear. A little marking / ageing to the front with a few very light surface foxing spots. Ship name and date inked to the bottom right. Age toning, light marking and quite extensive foxing spotting to the reverse. (VG-) |
