Aberdeen 1117101 Aberdeen A very early printed and slightly faded postcard featuring the steamer Aberdeen and company houseflag. She was built in 1881 and was sold to the Turkish Government in 1906 becoming the Halep. Postally used in Plymouth in 1904, from someone on board on a voyage to Tenerife. A little corner and edge wear with a knock to the top right corner tip and some surface crinkling. A small knock to the top edge, centre, with an associated surface bend. Album corner impressions. Small stain on the top left corner, otherwise a little light marking / ageing to the front. Light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG-) £8.99
Damascus 967302 Damascus A very early, litho printed, undivided back, postcard featuring the Damascus (1887-1909), not very often seen on postcards. Light corner and edge wear. A very light surface bend to the bottom left corner with associated very light crinkle to the reverse.
