She was built in 1877 as the Prinses Marie for the dutch company SMZ. She was chartered to Ballin's from 1896 to 1898 and renamed Prinzess Marie. Postally used as a Feldpost Karte, with military cachet, in 1914, a long time after the card was produced! Very light corner and edge wear. Provence 1054510 Provence Societe Generale de Transports Maritimes a Vapeur (SGTM) A company colour printed postcard featuring the Provence. She was built in 1951and stayed with the company until 1965 when she became the Enrico C for Costa. From 1962 to 1965 she was chartered by Costa/Linea C from SGTM and this card was produced for that charter with both company's logos on the reverse. Very light corner and edge wear. A little light surface foxing spotting to the front (only visible when viewed across the light). Also a small white mark in the sky area above the funnel. She was built in 1894 and only served with Hamburg Amerika until 1898 when she became the Dominion for Dominion Line. A tiny repaired edge tear at the top of the right edge with an extremely light surface bend from the top of the right edge down to the tear. Album corner impressions.
