A sepia toned photo postcard by Gibson & Sons, featuring the wreck of the Tripolitania. She was wrecked on Loe Bar, Porthleven on 26th December 1912, whilst on a voyage from Genoa to Barry. She was built in 1897 as the Drumgarth, becoming the Lord Cromer in 1907 and Tripolitania in 1911. She was broken up en-situ following failed attempts to salvage her. Very light corner and edge wear and light album corner impressions. Extremely light marking to the front but with some sepia toning and light silvering of the photo.
