Antrim 921909 Antrim Midland Railway Company A Valentine's Series colour printed postcard featuring the Antrim at Heysham. Very light corner wear except for a small knock to the top left corner tip. Arauca 918002 Arauca Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) A photo postcard featuring the interned cargo ship Arauca at Port Everglades in Florida. She was built in 1939 and sailed on her maiden voyage to Havana and Veracruz in August 1939. At the outbeak of war the Royal Navy cruiser HMS Orion intercepted the Arauca off Port Everglades and fired the first shot of the war in American territory at her. The Arauca made it into Port Everglades harbour where she was interned. She never sailed under this name again and eventually became the US navy vessel USS Saturn in 1942. In nice clean condition to the front with very light corner wear. A tiny surface mark in to top left corner. Light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG) £8.99

Berlin 921401 Berlin Great Eastern Railway Co. A sepia printed postcard by T. Harrison Roberts of London featuring an artists impression of the heroic rescue of survivors from the wreck of the cross channel steamer Berlin which was wrecked on the breakwater at the Hook of Holland in February 1907. Captain Sperling was the lifeboat captain who went on to the breakwater in order to rig up a line to the wreck to evacuate survivors. Light corner wear and very light surface marking to the front. Album corner indentations. Age tanning and a little marking to the reverse with a few foxing marks. (VG) SOLD!

Britannia 922701 Britannia J. Hall Jr. & Co., London A scarce, early, undivided back, monochrome art card featuring the Britannia (1902-1916) at Cadiz. Card is by Wm. Strain of Belfast. Postally used in Gibraltar in 1912. Some corner edge wear and chipping, the right edge being quite worn and damaged. Imprint from postal cancellation top left. She was built in 1912 for the East Asiatic Co as the Fionia. Between 1912 snd 1915 she served Hamburg Amerika as the Christian X. In 1915 she was sold to Italy. Card is by the Deutschen Vacuum Oil Company of Hamburg advertising the fact she uses their oil. Postally used in 1913 at Hamburg. Light corner and edge wear. Some postal ink marking top left. She was built in 1889 and served Albert Ballin from 1892 to 1904. In 1904 she was sold to Hamburg Amerika Line. Artwork is by Wladimir Linde. Card was postally used in Cuxhaven in 1903, with pencilled message in the correspondence area to the front. Very light corner wear except for a tiny crinkle on the bottom right corner tip. Light album corner indentations. Light imprint from postal cancellation top left and extremely light surface impression from the address written to the reverse.
