She was built in 1891 as the Nomadic for the Oceanic Steam Nav Co, becoming the Cornishman for Dominion Line in 1904. She passed to Leyland Line in 1921. On the right of the view is the stern of the Canadian Pacific vessel Montcalm . She was built in 1897 for the African Steamship Co (Elder Dempster) and passed to Canadian Pacific in 1903.
