William Muir 1311505 William Muir North British Railway Co. A photo postcard featuring the paddle steamer William Muir. She was built in 1879. She was refurbished in 1910 when her two funnels were replaced with a single funnel. In 1923 she transferred to LNER ownership. She continued in service until 1937. This postcard looks like a later reprint of an early photograph - I believe the original photo was published in 1895 by the Edinburgh Photographic Society. the photo is rather grainy and a little blurred. Very light corner and edge wear and minimal marking to the front. Light marking to the reverse with a couple of pencilled annotations and marks. (VG) SOLD!
William Muir 1311506 William Muir London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) A photo postcard featuring a view of the deck of the paddle steamer William Muir. She was built in 1879 for the North British Railway Co. She was refurbished in 1910 when her two funnels were replaced with a single funnel. In 1923 she transferred to LNER ownership. She continued in service until 1937. The photo shows her in LNER colours. Minimal corner wear and clean to the front except for an inked annotation, bottom right "On board PS William Muir". Inked annotation to the reverse dated 1934, with a few pencilled annotations as well. Otherwise very light marking to the reverse. (VG) SOLD!

She was built in 1879 for the North British Railway Co. She was refurbished in 1910 when her two funnels were replaced with a single funnel. In 1923 she transferred to LNER ownership. She continued in service until 1937. The photo shows her in LNER colours in 1934 coming alongside Granton Pier. The postcard is probably from a private photo and is printed on a smaller than standard size postcard. Extremely light corner and edge wear. Small "O" inked in the top left corner. Otherwise very light marking to the front with a few extremely light surface undulations. The reverse is printed upside down with inked annotation. Otherwise very light marking to the reverse. Size smaller than standard at 5.1" x 3". (VG) SOLD!

Willkommen 1281113 Willkommen Hamburg Amerika Linie (HAPAG) A company printed art postcard featuring the paddle steamer Willkommen. She was built in 1895 as the British flagged Plymouth Belle. She was sold to Hamburg Amerika Line in 1899 to become the Willkommen. She served the company on the Hamburg to Helgoland service until sold in 1924 to become the Cuxhaven for other German owners. Card is by Muhlmeister & Johler of Hamburg. Very light corner and edge wear, but creases to the top right and bottom left corner tips. A very light vertical surface impression down the left side of the card with extremely light surface crinkle to the reverse only. Otherwise very light marking to the front. Inked annotation to the reverse dated 1912. Very light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG-) SOLD!

She was built a the Plymouth Belle in 1895 and purchased by Hamburg Amerika in 1899, being renamed Willkommen. In nice clean condition, front and back with minimal corner wear. A little marking / ageing to the front with some postal ink marking top left. A little surface crinkling to the top edge, right, on the reverse. Worthing Belle 1110802 Worthing Belle J. Lee, Shoreham A colour tinted glossy photo type postcard featuring the paddle steamer Worthing Belle. She was built in 1885 as the Diana Vernon, becoming the Worthing Belle in 1901. She passed to Turkish owners in 1913. Card is by Giesen Bros, London. Very light corner and edge wear. Very light surface marking to the front and a couple of light surface ripples (production issue?). Very light marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG) £3.99
