A sepia printed postcard by T. Harrison Roberts of London, featuring an artists impression of the heroic rescue of survivors from the wreck of the cross channel steamer Berlin which was wrecked on the breakwater at the Hook of Holland in February 1907. Captain Sperling was the lifeboat captain who went on to the breakwater in order to rig up a line to the wreck to evacuate survivors. Light corner and edge wear and light album corner marks / indentations. A little light surface marking and a light mark on the bottom edge, centre. Some light foxing spotting and marking / ageing to the reverse. (VG)
