At the outbreak of WW1 she arrived at Bar Harbour to seek shelter on 4th August 1914 and stayed there until leaving for Boston on 7th November 1914 where she was interned. Kronprinzessin Cecilie 1163402 Kronprinzessin Cecilie A scarce sepia toned photo postcard showing a nice view of the Kronprinzessin Cecilie at Bar Harbour, Maine. At the outbreak of WW1 she arrived at Bar Harbour to seek shelter on 4th August 1914 and stayed there until leaving for Boston on 7th November 1914 where she was interned. Note the black tops to her funnels painted in order to make her look like a White Star Line vessel. The small steamer alongside her is the Norumbega of the Maine Central Railroad Company.
