On the right is (I think) a Dominion Line vessel, possibly the Cornishman(1904-1921). The vessel on the left, I cannot identify, possibly another Dominion Line vessel. In the distance, centre is what looks like a Elders Fyffes refrigerated cargo ship. Card is postally used in Bristol in 1913. A little light corner and edge wear except for a crinkle/indentation line across the top left corner tip. Surface impression from postal cancellation top left. This is of course referring to the Battle of Jutland. The card is by Gebr Lempe of Kiel. Postally used in Wilhelmshaven 1916 as a military Feldpost card. Very light corner wear. Presumably the steamer is the one connecting Helgoland with the mainland (Bremerhaven?). the card is postally used in 1897 with a lovely Hannover - Geestemunde Bahnpost (Railway Post) cancellation. Card is by Rosenblatt of Frankfurt. Extremely light corner wear and light age toning at the corners from album corner mounts. Otherwise very light marking to the front. The reverse has some age tanning, except for the corners where the album corner mounts were, otherwise very light marking to the reverse. (VG) SOLD!

Some corner and edge wear and album corner marks / impressions. Light surface crinkles to the top two corner tips. A light surface bend to the bottom left corner with associated surface crinkle to the reverse only. A surface crinkle on the bottom edge, centre, extending up to the hull of the vessel. Another surface bend / crinkle underneath the word "Africa" near the right edge. A couple of other light surface bends / impressions. A little marking to the front. The reverse has glue residue marks on the four corners from previous album mounting and some light marking / ageing. (G) SOLD!

Unknown (Royal Mail Steam Packet) 1229205 Unknown (Royal Mail Steam Packet) Royal Mail Steam Packet Co (RMSP) An unusual Gents Progressive Whist scoring card produced by the company. The card is 2 pages, folded down the left edge. On the front cover is a lovely illustration of a company ship (in a Norwegian Fjord??), with art by S. Stott and dated 1925. On the inside is the scoring table which would be filled in by the participant. On the reverse is another illustration of a company vessel and an advert for the company services including tours for South America and cruises to Norway, etc. What looks like a date of 1926 printed to the bottom right corner. Very light corner and edge wear except for some rubbing on the left folded spine of the card. Extremely light marking to the front with a couple of tiny foixng spots. Very light marking / ageing to the inside scoring table with a few small foxing spots. Very light marking to the reverse with a couple of light foxing spots. Size when folded is 3.4" x 4.75" (86mm x 120mm). (VG) SOLD!
Unknown (State Line) 1228201 Unknown (State Line) State Line / State Steamship Co. Ltd. An extremely early and scarce advertising art card for the State Line and showing an un-named company vessel. The company was founded in 1872 and was wound up in 1890, the remains of the company being acquired by the Allan Line. The card has an advertisement on the reverse for services from New York to Glasgow, Liverpool or Belfast and was produced by the American agents Austin Baldwin & Co of Chicago / New York. The card may have been trimmed down from a larger card as the edges are slightly uneven, or maybe this is how it was produced. Very light corner wear and very light marking to the front. The surface of the card has light undulations over it's entire surface. To the reverse there is what feels light extremely light residue, so it may have been stuck to something at some point. There is some toning marking over the surface of the card on the reverse and a light ink scribble in the centre of the reverse. Size approx 5.5" x 3.25".(VG-/G+) £18.99

A little light marking to the front with some extremely light surface spotting (only visible when viewed across the light). Light marking / ageing to the reverse with an inked annotation to the right edge which may have been added after the card was postally used. Yuyo Maru No.10 1036708 Yuyo Maru No.10 Morita Steamship Co. Ltd./ Morita Kisen KK, Japan An art postcard by the ship builders Hitachi Zosen, Innoshima, featuring the LPG tanker Yuyo Maru No.10 and commemorating her launch on 19th March 1966. She was scuttled following a collision in Tokyo Bay in 1974. Art is by Mogami(?). In nice clean condition to the front with minimal corner wear. Clean to the reverse with ship name lightly pencilled.
